Yes. Vegetable fritters (usually, although I think you can also have fish pakora) fried in a chickpea batter. Very yummy.

I need a "food" userpic. This one will have to do; at least I was slicing a pie at the time.

I've also seen cheese pakoras (quite common) and meat pakoras (somewhat less so).
