Lovely dinner with
zzbottom tonight at East Coast Grill. I’d never eaten there before; the food was really good. It was great to get a chance to catch up with
zzbottom!
Tomorrow I get to get up way too early to let the plumber in to fix the furnace. I’m taking the day off work for that and to get the house ready for
docorion and myself ready for Arisia, both of which I am tremendously looking forward to. So time to sleep now. Wow! A post by me that didn’t go on for pages and pages!
Oh, I didn’t hear much about the inauguration, but I did hear something about how Bush said the trains were going to run on time. Kinda hard to believe, but I guess history will be the judge.

Date: 2005-01-21 11:01 (UTC)Now if only I had a working waterbed, too. You may notice I’m up awfully early. That’s partly because it was chilly in bed, which never happens. Turns out the heater isn’t working. Dunno why, and I’m not going to have a chance to do anything about it until after Arisia, which really means the following weekend.
Waterbeds without heaters, not so fun. I may just drain it and put a futon in there until I can deal with it.

Date: 2005-01-21 14:27 (UTC)No, I imagine a cold waterbed would not be very much fun. And a waterbed as large as yours would require quite the group to heat it up. I don't think the two of us could manage on our own.

Date: 2005-01-21 16:44 (UTC)Actually, it appears that the light that's supposed to come on when the heater is working is just busted. And the cable may have been a bit loose last night, which would explain why it was cold in the wee hours of the morning, but it’s definitely working now, even though the little flickery light isn’t flickering any more.
And I now seem to have a working boiler! Yay! Hopefully the house will not be utterly frozen when
I still think we should see if we can get together enough people to warm up the waterbed, though. You know, just for the sake of Science.
