The good and the bad

The good: Ray is a very powerful movie. It abbreviates and simplifies a lot and begs a lot of questions, but it is a very powerful picture of Ray Charles’ musical (and business) genius, and of his descent into addiction. (Much of what it abbreviates is his recovery.)

And, continuing my dreadful luck with cars (but not nearly as bad as last time), the bad: It’s surprising what poor gas milage you get when you’re driving on a flat tire.

Indeed (to both statements)

Oh, no! We're gonna have to assign a triple-A person to just ride around with you. :-) Hope driving on the flat didn't cause too much damage and that things are okay now.

Hugs,

Cory

a couple weeks ago, i heard an NPR interview with jamie foxx about his playing ray charles, and decided then that i wanted to see the film; haven't seen it yet, but planning to soon. (we did see "the incredibles" tonight, which was very silly and lots of fun!)
