Thank the gods Boston survived!

All I can say is thank heavens I made it through the Great Blizzard of Ought-Ten! It was terrible, I tell you, terrible. I spent seconds at the door checking whether there was anything to shovel! There was a slight draft coming in around the storm door while I had the regular door open. I was chilly while I was standing naked in the shower, until I turned the hot water on. This’ll be one to tell the grandkids about!

Heh. We, OTOH, did get a good bit of snow. It started yesterday afternoon and has been pretty much going non-stop ever since (still going, in fact). But all told, maybe a foot of new snow? Which isn't bad compared to what B'more and NYC and the east coast are dealing with.

State College doesn't get the amount of snow that Boston does, generally, but they do know how to deal with it here, like in Boston. Which makes all the difference between snow and Misery (aka Baltimore....)

Whew. I was worried. I hope you stockpiled a lot of milk and bread and canned goods in case you get some light frost tonight.

Oh, you poor dear, that sounds dreadful! :(

Glad to year you're clawing out a survival.
What we're getting in the Midwest is that
the entire East Coast should be in the
"We're all gonna Dieeee."
But then you've been exposed to the
real thing out here. Do you get the
chuckle I do when watching the inexperienced
try to drive in a quarter-inch of snow?

Heh, I think while that was happening, I was somewhere in the Atlanic ocean trying to avoid being knocked overboard by crazy sail and rigging tomfoolery. Ill take snowstorms over drowning in the deep blue any day, but Im a Canuck.

*laugh* Truly! I bet all those superintendents who canceled school yesterday are feeling pretty sheepish this morning.

I have been thinking that we survivors of this harrowing ordeal might need a snarky t-shirt to commemorate the event. Ideas? ;)
