Two tentacles up

I just got back from seeing the Stephen King movie Dreamcatcher. I have two comments on the movie. First, there was a lot to it that was distinctly post-9/11. I can't say much more than that, since it was mostly in the latter part of the movie.

And second, you have to respect a movie that has credits for “Special Bodily Noises” and “Lead Weasel Engineer”. “Mommy, when I grow up I want to be a lead weasel engineer!”

So, was that two tentacles out of three or five? (Curious because I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it.)

Well, that's not exactly true. I detest slasher movies. I prefer not to see scary movies that have immense gore in them (poltergeist, ummm...other serial '70s/'80s movies showing possession, ghosts, blood....Not having seen them I am forgetting their names.) I really like SciFi. I would sleep with Morgan Freedman (he's the military/government guy in the Dreamcatcher.) So, I am torn. If a movie might give me nightmares, though I would really like it, I toss around before deciding if it's worth losing sleep over. (I have pretty intense nightmares.)
