When I got up this morning, it was very cold. Sure enough, the pilot light on the boiler had gone out again. Easy enough to relight, but I wonder why its happening, and it makes me worried that the pipes may freeze again while I'm at work or asleep.
Yeah. A couple of months ago during a windstorm all the chimney access doors and the access door on one of the furnaces blew open and spewed soot out. (It was quite impressive.) So a draft coming down the chimney is entirely likely. I guess I don't worry about it, but just make sure to check regularly.
