plumtreeblossom!
I wished her a happy birthday last night just after midnight, but I have to do it again: Happy birthday, darling love!
I drove to Rochester to meetplumtreeblossom at her Ancestral Home yesterday. Lovely drive, except for the traffic jam in central Mass. Got to see her mother again, whom I'd met before in Boston, and meet her brother and niece; all were quite good company. The house is amazing! plumtreeblossom's mother is an antiques junkie, and the house is full of gorgeous antiques, all meticulously arranged, including several 18th- and 19th-century clocks. There's a huge portrait of plumtreeblossom's great-great-great-grandfather over the couch in the living room.
Anyway, I had a lovely time, and then we went to the motel room thatplumtreeblossom's mother so thoughtfully rented for us as a gift, and we're about to meet plumtreeblossom's brother and niece for a diner brunch, and then go back to the house to hang out a little bit and collect our loot before setting off on the road again.
