[livejournal.com profile] corivax is going to get to ride NASA’s Vomit Comet tomorrow; unindicted coconspirator [livejournal.com profile] adularia flew today. Go read [livejournal.com profile] adularia’s description of the flight, and look at [livejournal.com profile] corivaxpictures of NASA signage [EDIT: which are locked, but see [livejournal.com profile] corivax’ comment below. Mother and Don, this is another good argument for you getting LJ accounts. :-)]. (And I’m sure [livejournal.com profile] corivax will post about the flight tomorrow.)

I want to be [livejournal.com profile] corivax when I grow up.

(Yes, I should be packing for my trip to NYC tomorrow morning, or sleeping, or maybe getting done some of the things I needed to get done the last few days and didn’t, instead of posting to LiveJournal. Such is the way of the world.)

my ex Wumpus rode the vomit comet a number of times. he had great pictures of his very long hair floating while he was in free-fall. Looked like a great deal of fun!

Unfortunately, I lock all my NASA posts, since I do a fair amount of mocking or complaining about NASA, and it isn't terribly difficult to turn up my real name - how many people doing research on zero gravity robotics in my area are there?

While I love NASA dearly, their paperwork is often deeply exasperating. :)

If people want to read the posts, they are welcome to friend me or drop me a comment here and I will friend them back for a week or two, or longer if they'd like.

The entries I can see are interesting enough to add your LJ to my flist; I would like to read the NASA (almost typed NSA there, oops) posts too if you don't mind.

What have you been doing for NASA? Which NASA?

I got traded from LANL to Goddard for the summer...and fall.

I am on a research project investigating robotic navigation in zero gravity. We're in Houston this week to take our robot on the Vomit Comet.
