I just watched Mars Attacks. It was... adequate, I suppose.

I recall loathing it. But then someone pointed out that we're supposed to be on the aliens' side, and it made a bit more sense to me.

Well, it’s not usually lost on me. (And this particular instance wasn’t completely lost on me; I did enjoy it. I’m glad my expectations were low, though.)

I sorta liked it in a comical sense but compared to the brutal comic books that spawned that movie, that whole thing was horrid. Those martians in the comics were vicious and totally pro-violence. They actually sorta won the war and the planet ended up being divided between us and them.
