Loot! (My parents love me a lot.)

Came home to find a boxful of beautifully wrapped Christmas presents on the porch. Among other wonderful things, my parents got me a copy of Jimmy Carter’s new book Our Endangered Values, which I’d heard about on the radio a while ago and meant to go get a copy of (but forgot); a scarf, which I’d been feeling the lack of lately, and some yummy spiced-and-candied almonds my mother made.

I just feel all warm and cozy and cared for.

(My sister got me a hat and a sweater; my parents got me a scarf and gloves. I’m going to be nice and warm this winter!)
