Yay birthday gift!

I have so much to post about, some of it househunting-related. But I don’t have time, so I’m just going to mention the wonderful birthday gift I had waiting for me when I got home. It was a box, from my parents (Ruth and Don). I opened it up and pulled out the packing paper. On top was a light-blue towel with a dolphin-print band. On top of that was a little elegant-looking square of paper that said

Happy Birthday

I thought that was very nifty! I pulled out the towel, and out fell a copy off The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy on DVD. My parents rock! I’m lucky in so many ways.

(By the way, mother, I’m not sure your card will get there in time and I know your present won’t, but I haven’t forgotten your birthday is coming up, although I’ve forgotten almost everything else lately.)
