Here are excerpts from mail sent by a doctor who was helping evacuate patients in New Orleans (and triage and care for them as best he could) after the hurricane and flooding. (Thanks to hrafn for the link.)

Ah :) (See, that's what I'd been expecting, so I was doubly confused ;) And I think he may be human, just a sociopath. Plenty of non-humans show a good deal more concern for us homo sapiens.)
