This morning I woke up out of a very realistic dream about having had my credit/debit cards stolen. In the dream, I was driving the Water Rat, but needed to get something out of Mr Toad — both of them being parked in the same little parking lot out in the woods, by a museum or something. (It reminded me of this restaurant near the top of Kīlauea on the Big Island.) I must have accidentally left my wallet in Mr Toad and left Mr Toad unlocked, because when I got back to the Water Rat, my wallet was in it with most of the cards missing. (OK, that’s a hint to the unreality there — if somebody came across my wallet, and were nice enough to return to me the part they weren’t going to steal, how would they know to leave the wallet in a different car?) Anyway, the rest of the dream was about telling people what had happened and looking forward (not) to calling up the banks and credit card companies when I got home, and figuring out where to look up their phone numbers, and making a list of all the places I had to update when I got new cards, and that sort of thing.

I guess it was more exciting if you were there. :-)

Anyway, I was tremendously relieved when I realized that I was still asleep and this was probably just a dream.

The munchkins...

This dream was obviously an attempt by extra-dimensional munchkins to steal your credit card numbers by accessing your memory of them while you slept. Fortunately, you caught them in the act, and can now take apropriate action. Of course, it beats the hell out of me what that action might be. You might try uploading a brain-patch with some form of NLP trick, or try luckd dreaming and feed the little munchkins the wrong numbers next time. Good luck!
