Cities and Knights, this Sunday at 6, chez moi

Hi! If I can get enough people together, I’d like to play Cities and Knights of Catan at my house (location negotiable) this Sunday at 6:00pm. Anybody interested and free? I would anticipate there being a take-out order sometime early on. I realize most people have long-weekend plans already, but I thought it was worth a shot and I haven’t played C&K in a long time. Please comment here or email me if you’re interested and you can make it.

In other news, Tuesday was a disappointing day at work, Tuesday night was lovely (as Tuesday nights always are), Wednesday was a great day at work in which we discovered that the tragedy of Tuesday was illusory and all was right and birds were singing sweetly in the warm sunlight, and tonight I'm about to leave work to go dancing, so all is right with the Universe.

i've played "settlers of catan" and "starfarers of catan," so i'm sure "knights & cities" is really fun, but alas, i am in northampton.

missed you at the housewarming... i actually saw you briefly on the street when you said hi to darby & then kept going the other way. i asked her if you were coming, & she said you knew about it. use that calendar of yours! i call mine "the gay agenda" so i'll take it out more & look at it.

A tragic flaw, indeed. (For the purposes of this game, anyway.) Yes, Cities and Knights is really fun; it’s more complicated and longer than Settlers. (I’ve never played Starfarers, but my understanding is that it’s nothing like Settlers/Cities and Knights. C&K is an expansion to Settlers, though, so almost everything you know from Settlers is still useful.) This particular game is going to be a bit unusual: pheromone won’t be there, so we won’t know in advance who’s going to win.

How often do you make it out east? There will certainly be future games.

Yeah, I didn’t realize it was you until after we’d passed! I’d forgotten about that.

I look at my calendar all the time; I just need to actually put things on it when I hear about them. :-)

Sure, just keep an eye on my journal. If you happen to be in Poly Boston, I’m also planning on hosting games nights on occasional fourth Mondays (although not this month; this month is going to be a movie night).

Hello I wanted to say hi and I would like to add you as a friend. I love Cities and Knights it's an awesome game. We also play several other Settlers games. Settlers of the Stone Age being one of our favorites.

Of course it’s OK! I hope you don’t mind if I don’t reciprocate — despite the fact that you read Laurel K. Hamilton — just because I’m already not managing to keep up with my friends list. But feel free to comment from time to time, and I’ll probably take a look at your journal once in a whle.

I haven’t played anything but Settlers (not very often), Cities and Knights, and (exactly once) Seafarers. What’s Settlers of the Stone Age like?
