trapezebear’s post-election thoughts, and my response

Just wanted to point folks to this wonderful and thoughtful post by trapezebear on where we go from here, and my somewhat rambling comments on it.

I have to say, I’m not as depressed as I would expect to be. Some of that is probably due to the wonderful comforting people I spent last night with at the Diesel, my community and my tribe, among whom I feel safe. But I’ve also been tremendously energized by this campaign (if also almost incapacitated by stress sometimes), and a lot of that remains. This nation is in a time of transition, and those are scary times, but they’re hopeful times as well.

Or maybe it’s just the result of getting less than four hours of sleep last night.
