I have no idea what ganache and beignet are, but it was very very yummy;
ganache is chocolate sauce, that can harden up a bit and be used as an icing. my wedding cake was vanilla, with mocha buttercream filling and a ganache icing. so good.
beignets are a kind of creole doughnut. maybe they are also french, but the first time i had them was in New Orleans, where i was told they were a local specialty. they are best freshly made and hot :) with strong coffee that has chicory in it :)
