So my hair is down to my shoulders — finally out of that clumsy sticking-out-in-all-directions stage. It was a long time getting here, but I’m finally here.

So, of course, I’m considering chopping it all off again.

This is partly because of the summer heat, and partly because it would just be easier and quicker to manage, and partly because I’m missing the way it felt. Of course, I started growing it out again because I missed the way it looked long. And as [livejournal.com profile] plumtreeblossom pointed out, I’ve got a few strands of grey coming in, and that will look even more awesome with long hair than with short. So I’m not sure. And of course, the thing to do when you have a decision to make is to post a poll, so you can ignore the advice of all your friends. Therefore:

[Poll #1219547]

Feel free to argue for your position in the comments.

Out of curiosity, what do you think the people who only have to look at it and not feel, swelter in, or wash it are going to say?? :-}

But yes, option D is a good alternative :-}.

I'm the ONLY one who picked 'buzz it short'?? Wow. Must be because I'm liking my short hair so much. I know I need to have mine short for long enough to forget what a pain in the ass long hair is. Short hair is so much nicer for the summer that I can't even see bothering to keep it for Hallowe'en - you could always get a wig.

Well, you'll still be our wonderful beowabbit no matter what you do with your hair, but your long hair was very pretty, and it also made you look more like one of "us" (even though you're about as "us" as it's possible to be. :-) )

If you grow it out, I'll try real hard not to drool around you. :-)

This gives an idea of the hair... I know I look pissed, please try to ignore. That's just my default expression. Which is probably why I scare people.

I don't know how I missed all 4 of your last posts.

Regarding the hair, I'm holding back on voting because I'm of multiple minds on the topic.

On the one hand, I adore your long hair, love to touch it and enjoy it's beautiful colors in the sun. You have exceptionally exquisite hair that I love.

On the other hand, I want you to be comfortable. I do like longish buzzes (half-inch or so), and you looked good in that, especially in combination with the chin goatee. The only thing I would vote a pleading NO to would be shaved completely bald. But buzz cuts I'm okay with.

Here's something to consider, and it's something I learned from my brother when he was a hair replacement specialist. Only 1 in 10 American males don't experience hair loss/balding by middle age. This is due partly to genetics, partly to health and hormonal imbalances. At nearly 42, it's safe to say that you are in that very fortunate group who gets to keep your hair. Jim (my brother) worked with men who would literally have given their left testicle to have a full head of hair. What they had to settle for instead was hair weaves, implants, or tape-on hair pieces. You don't have that problem. I'll love you whatever you choose to do with your hair, but I hope that whatever that choice is, you leave enough so that those of us who are fans of your hair still have some of it to enjoy. :-)

*kisses you*

I can't decide. I love equally bald heads and long hair. Both choices can be really hawt. Go with what makes you feel most comfortable for the moment.

I say buzz it short, but only so you can donate the hair you cut off to Locks Of Love (http://www.locksoflove.org). Then you can start growing your hair all over again. :)

Sorry I'm late to this poll. I just found out about it last night. I <3 your hair. Please keep growing it out!
