Oooh, sorry your poor back is still hurting. Hopefully a good night's sleep will help it. Sounds like you did pinch something in the lifting.

Per the shoes, I think you'll like wide width. I wear wides when available, and they make all the difference in comfort. (You've seen my duck-shaped feet, so you can see why.) Your toes will thank you! :-)
