I know events in the world seem depressing these days, but things aren't so bad if you put them in the proper perspective. After all, six billion years from now or so, the Earth will be a red-hot, airless, sterile ball of rock spiralling in towards its utter destruction in the bowels of a swollen, red, dying sun. There, now, don't you feel better?
