Why tikva rocks

I don’t remember exactly how long ago I met tikva; I know it was a long time after I met her before I started to feel like I knew her. But I remember being impressed with her very early on (as well as having a bit of a from-across-the-room crush on her). I think my first impression was probably of her bubbly enthusiasm and energy. Some of what I owe to beetiger

This is in the past tense not because beetiger isn’t still at least as wonderful as I’m describing, but because I’ve seen very little of her since college. I was utterly thrilled to find her at BiCamp two summers ago and to have the opportunity to reconnect with her, and I really look forward to seeing her again.

Wow. It was twenty years ago that I met her. So much in my life has changed in that time, and even more has changed in hers. But I still feel like the same person at heart, and when I saw her again after so many years, she still felt like the wonderful person I knew and loved – the wonderful person I know and love. It’s really heartwarming to feel like her thread still weaves through my life and mine still weaves through hers.
