You know, if I knew for certain that I were going to die at a certain time, but I got to pick the manner, I can’t think of a better way than falling out of a high airplane.)

Back when I was in my early 20's, I volunteered for a suicide hotline. A mandatory part of the training for volunteers involved our trying to imagine committing suicide as vividly as possible, including why we were doing it and how we'd accomplish it. I think they wanted to make sure that suicide wouldn't be contagious, if we got a really serious phone client. So, I imagined a scenario where I might be desperate, then said I'd jump off of the highest building I could find. When they asked me why, I said, "Well, it seems like it would be really fun until you hit the ground." They decided that somebody who was still looking for fun while killing herself probably wasn't a serious risk. :-) Too bad I didn't think of an airplane; that sounds like even more fun!
