beowabbitI just saw the most excellent duplex in Quincy. It’s in really really good shape, and if I have a housemate it’s in my price range (albeit with a smidgen of stretching). (With a lot of stretching, I might be able to handle it by myself for a while.) It has the lion’s share of the yard, with a deck and a garage and a large driveway. It has a basement and lots of storage space. I can forgive it the vinyl siding.
It’s further from the T than I wanted, almost as far as my current place is, but a much nicer walk with good sidewalks.
