Quick weekend summary

cathijosephine. Or rather, since it involved watching Eddie Izzard, a fabulous date. The post about the crock pot my parents gave me was because with its aid, I can convincingly pretend that I cook. Yay!
Then I took off for upstate New York to pick upeisa from infodump’s. I love long car trips, and I hadn’t had enough of them in a while, but I’ve been doing a lot of them lately. When I arrived, we went over to the house of a friend of infodump’s and watched The 13th Warrior, which I’d never seen and which was a lot of fun. (eisa, an IMDB reviewer says the language the Vikings were speaking in the movie is modern Norwegian.) Now I want to read the book. Then today I had a great drive back home (after breakfast — or, since it was at about 2:00pm, perhaps I should say brunch — at my diner, er, Jay’s Diner, which I highly recommend if you’re in Rochester).
And now, to bed.
